Ian Simpson designed the Manchester Beetham Tower in Manchester, England. The 48 tower building contains the Hilton Hotel.
Completed in 2006 and the tallest building in Manchester, it employs the Doka SKE 100 automatic climbing system and trapezoidal windshield. A slenderly curved glazing plane rises up one side of the tower while the other side barely cantilevers over the ground.
