Swan Bell Tower, Perth Australia

Twelve of the eighteen bells in the Swan Tower are a historic gift from the Trafalgar Square in London. Hames Sharley designed the Swan Bell Tower in Perth Australia, designed in 2001.

Arup designed the circular bell chamber inside a shell of reinforced concrete that blocks the sound toward the river and city. Sharley achieved an interesting composition of glass with vertical movement.
