Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects designed the
School of Architecture-Austin E Knowlton
at the Ohio State University, completed 2004.
The $32-million building includes studio spaces for 600 students, auditoriums, a a 30,000-volume library, classrooms, and assembly spaces. The bare concrete slabs use a post-tension structural system to reduce the bulk of concrete.
