Changing keyboard language from US to UK
Changing the keyboard language settings for your keyboard can be a real headache if you don't know what your doing, follow this simple tutorial and you will escape a headache!
If everything you try to type an @ sign or " and the computer gets it the wrong way round you have come to the right place to correct the issue.
Step One
Click Start and select Control Panel
Windows Start Menu
Step Two
Switch to classic view if you are not all ready in it, if you are in classic view it will display Category view.

Step Three
Double click Regional and Language options
Control Panel Language Options
Step Four
Select Languages tab
Regional and Language Options
Step Five
Click Details
Language Tab
Step Six
From the drop down box select
English (United Kingdom) - United Kingdom
Input Language United Kingdom
Step Seven
Click Apply and OK
Apply Language Settings
Step eight
Click Apply and OK
Apply Settings Again
Step nine
Close Control Panel or File and in the dropdown menu exit
Please note: If you all ready have a word/text document open you will need to close and reopen the file/software for the changes to take affect.
Now your keyboard settings should now be UK and you should now have the @ key and the " key where you would expect them to be.
Apllicable to Vista and Windows7 Keyboard and Languages at step7.
