The Saudi Arabian National Guard health services paved the way for the establishment of this new university that focuses on medical and health majors. Hosted in King Abdulaziz Medical City for the National Guard, the university offers its programs in two campuses in Riyadh and Jeddah, and potentially in other provinces in the Kingdom. The university enjoys a considerably low student/faculty ratio that is considered among the lowest in Saudi universities. The programs offered at the university are carefully developed and offered based on the nationwide recruitment and human resources current and future needs. Such programs include Health Informatics, Genetics, Clinical Chemistry, and Clinical Labs Sciences. Some of these programs are offered only in a few universities around the world such as the Clinical Chemistry.
