Jean-Marie Duthilleul and Etienne Tricaut designed the Gare d'Aix-en-Provence TGV near Vitrolles and Aix-en-Provence in Southern France. It opened in 2001.
The design included a deviation in the nearby highway to run along the railway line, with landscaping along the concourse. The structure shades from the elements, with glass allowing transparency throughout. Wood shades block the sun in the front curved side.
This curved facade mimics the beautiful landscape of the site, the Montagne Saint-Victoire.
