Trianglen Station, Malmö Sweden

Triangeln station was recently completed in 2010 for the Citytunneln train line in Malmo, Sweden. The entire line cost 8.5B SEK to build. The railway station rises in a warped dome shape, similarly to Canary Wharf station, with escalators rising toward a glass ceiling. Elevator shafts run diagonally with the escalators. Two entrances on either side link to two main streets.

Artist Gunilla Klingberg provided floor murals called “Vardags Livets Mönster,” and light fixtures and wall sculptures. Trains arrive at a brightly materialed platform, with careful lighting and wonderful expressions of speed and transportation. Other remarkable spots at Triangeln include a large shopping mall.
