
Chipperfield's flare for lighting and metal textures come out in this design. It stands atop a tall concrete foundation and plinth in case of flooding. Six angled rectangular blocks come together and gesture to the northern sky. Opaque glass etched in acid is highly reflective and glaring in the historic context. Double-height spaces and cantilevered structure dramatacizes these spaces.
