The Epistemological Problem with Comparative Effectiveness Research
We will be seeing an increasing investment in comparative effectiveness research (CER), much of which will go to connecting and mining pre-existing clinical datasets. Are you excited by the prospect of mining massive clinical databases to determine which medical interventions are most effective?
Are you convinced that observational CER can provide answers to 48,000 key clinical questions that remain unanswered?
