Top 10 Bollywood Actors Of The Decade

Top 10 Bollywood Actors Of The Decade
This decade has seen some fantastic performances. Many film heroes have been on the scene, many of them terrific. But here we have compiled a list of the best heroes that Bollywood had to offer! Who do you think deserves to be number ONE?

1. Amitabh Bachchan : The Shehanshah
How amazing this man is! He keeps re inventing himself. From the quintessential angry young man, he has played the romantic lover, the godfather, the honest cop, the dishonest cop, an aging actor, a media baron and his latest magnum opus, a 12 year old trapped in the body of a 60 year old! He's anchored TV shows, done commercials. Basically he's done it all and done it well! We salute Amitabh Bachchan!

2. ShahRukh Khan : The Badshah
The prominent Bollywood figure, Shah Rukh is a film producer and television host. Mainly, he's played the romantic hero, but he's never been afraid to experiment. He played the bad guy in a trilogy, that firmly established him as a star. He's done family tearjerkers, nationalistic roles, romantic lover boy, has been reincarnated and got drunk. He sizzles and has that charisma and energy that makes him a true superstar!

3. Aamir Khan : The Maverick
What can one say about this super savvy star who goes from success to success with the competence of a robot, Aamir does not make a wrong move. The decade is a witness to his super successes. He's done it all and still feels that there's a load to do. He'll compete fro the Oscars but not for Indian awards. He does what his heart and mind tells him to do and he's unfailing in his instinct! Truly, the stuff that legends are made of!

4. Saif Ali Khan : The Chameleon
All who remember Chote Nawab dancing in the song Ole Ole will appreciate how far this actor has travelled and what a range of roles he's done. Saif remains rather quiet in his non filmy life, which is why when his new films come, there's a sudden explosion of talent. Lover boy, terrorist, urban dude, cold- blooded killer- its 'Saif' to say that he's a sleeping volcanoe of talent!

5. Akshay Kumar :The Khiladi
You, he's a player all right! Not many serious roles under his hat, but Akshay has made his mark in Bollywood filmdom with his goofy grin and his over the top acting. Some would call him plain lucky, but whatever it may be, he's there... with the stars!

6. Hrithik Roshan : Super Savvy
He's a mover-groover and more than that he's very talented actor! No one can take their eyes of him when he's on the screen. Producers have a hard time finding heroines to cast opposite him, because he can outshine any one in sheer good looks. On top of that, his flair for getting into varied roles! Formidable! Remember him as the tortured brother in Fiza, the 'simple' boy with an ET, the laid back guy who then finds his groove as a soldier? A 'Kites' certainly cant keep him down!

7. Ajay Devgan : Brooding Talent
He's very angry and he won't burst out. He'll plot and he'll plan and he'll use violence. Thats our Ajay Devgan. He's not a star who has good looks on his side but he has such a wealth of skills, that producers have been queuing up after him. Mostly, he has played the angry young man in quest of justice, a criminal and a don and lately, had tried his hand at comedy too!

8. Abhishek Bachchan : The Protege
Its quite a load to carry- being Amitabh's and Jaya Bachchan's son, and now Aishwarya's husband, but Abhishek has risen to the occasion, carving himself a firm niche in Bollywood filmdom. He's played various roles and has played them very well indeed! Who can forget him as the Gay, the policeman after the smooth criminal, as the small time thief, the smouldering angry man and as Guru? His recent raven was a debacle, but Abhi dominated screen space with his presence.

9. Salman Khan : The Brat
Even when Salmaan is not known as majorly talented, he has remained popular as he gives off hit after hit. Salmaan remains bankable even today and is one star who is always in the news as much for his on screen roles as his off screen escapades. In fact, those could be made into quite a masala potboiler too!

10. Ranbir Kapoor : The Newbie
He's the new kid on the block and he has everyone sitting up and taking notice. Just a few years into Bollywood, and he's already a superstar. He started with playing candy floss roles but when Sid 'woke up'; he woke up the entire cine watching fraternity. We here that he's hard pressed for 'dates' but producers are willing to wait for years for him!
