The Freeman Awards for Study in Asia offer funding for U.S. undergraduates to pursue costly studies in Thailand and other areas of Asia. Thailand has historically been completely out of the reach of many students and in response the Freeman Scholarships make it possible for especially disadvantaged students to experience Thai culture and gain unique educational opportunities. Candidates must also have impeccable academic records and are encouraged to be proficient in the Thai language. Awards are up to $7,000.
