Yokohama Triennale, Kanagawa Japan

The International Triennale of Contemporary Art is held every couple of years in Yokohama Kanagawa, the latest in 2008. It first began in 2001.

Art includes buildings, installations, and performances. One piece simply pumped fog into the Sankeien Garden's. The art festival also takes advantage of the port town's sites, such as the brick warehouses used in 2001. The art piece shown above is by Mass Studies.

Ryue Nishizawa of SANAA designed the overall layout for 2008.
